Toda obra tiene un objetivo, y esta no es excepción. Por un lado, intenta contribuir a fomentar el diálogo entre las diversas experiencias de compromiso político y social entre los participantes del Grupo de Trabajo y de la RIARM. Por otro, también se trata de retomar la vieja discusión sobre la utilidad y el compromiso de los intelectuales. Por último, también tiene como objetivo demostrar a las nuevas generaciones de científicos sociales que existe una multiplicidad riquísima de posibilidades para el compromiso político y social, y que de esta relación se nutren buena parte de los aportes fundamentales en las ciencias humanas.

International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women
Marking the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, Sara Delmedico (Università degli Studi di Bologna) and Giulia Strippoli (IHC, NOVA University Lisbon) organise an afternoon with scholars and activists whose work contributes to the knowledge of women’s history and feminisms, to the unmasking of patriarchy, to the self-determination of people through art, thought and activism.
