Práticas da História indexed by Scopus
Jun 1, 2022 | News
The journal Práticas da História, published by the NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities, with the support of the IHC and CHAM – Centro de Humanidades, was accepted for indexing by the Scopus platform.
As Pedro Martins, the journal director explains, this inclusion brings great advantages: on the one hand, “it will allow an exponential increase in the visibility of the journal internationally, making its contents more attractive to specialized and non-specialized audiences”; on the other hand, “it will make it possible for more researchers to be interested in collaborating with the journal”, either as authors, reviewers or coordinators, given its positioning in a competitive ranking of similar periodicals.
As stated on the website of Práticas da História, the publication aims to “promote discussions around the theory of History, Historiography and the Uses of the Past”. This new indexing adds to the already achieved inclusion in the ERIH PLUS, the European Reference Index for the Humanities and the Social Sciences, promoted by the European Science Foundation.
The IHC welcomes the achievement of yet another strategic objective of internationalisation, public access, and quality of the scientific journal and research promoted by the Institute.
