IN2PAST has new governing bodies

Following elections held on 15 December 2025, the new governing bodies of IN2PAST — Associate Laboratory for Research and Innovation in Heritage, Arts, Sustainability and Territory took office for the 2026-2028 term.
Sofia Salema (CHAIA — University of Évora) succeeded António Candeias as Chair of the Board, accompanied by Vice-Chairs Alexandra Esteves (Lab2PT — University of Minho) and Rita Luís (IHC — NOVA FCSH). The Plenary of the Board will be completed with the representatives from the seven Research Units that make up IN2PAST.
The Scientific Council, made up of all PhD members of the laboratory, is now chaired by António Candeias (HERCULES — University of Évora).
For the Supervisory Board, responsible for overseeing the administrative acts of IN2PAST, Maria de Fátima Nunes (IHC – University of Évora) was elected Chair, and Joana Sequeira (Lab2PT – University of Minho) and Inês Lourenço (CRIA – Iscte) were elected members.
The Ethics Committee is now chaired by Milene Gil (HERCULES – University of Évora), accompanied by Elisabete Pereira (IHC – University of Évora), Alberto Medina de Seiça (CESEM – NOVA FCSH), Cristina Pratas Cruzeiro (IHA – NOVA FCSH) and Francisca Alves Cardoso (CRIA – NOVA FCSH). The Ethics Committee intervenes in issues related to interpersonal relationships in research contexts, in addition to advising researchers who face ethical dilemmas in their research.
