Nuno Medeiros was appointed Scientific Coordinator of the Imprensa de História Contemporânea [Contemporary History Press], the IHC’s academic press, specializing in the dissemination of research work in the fields of History and Social Sciences.
The researcher and professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon replaces Paulo Jorge Fernandes, who has directed the Press since its creation in 2017. Paulo Jorge Fernandes remains on the Editorial Board, which is also composed of Álvaro Garrido (CEIS20 – FLUC), Elisa Lopes da Silva (CRIA – NOVA FCSH), Luís Trindade (CEIS20 – FLUC), Maria João Vaz (CIES, ISCTE – IUL) and Maria Alexandre Lousada (CH – FLUL).
The Imprensa de História Contemporânea has already published five works in its Contemporânea collection (all available in Open Access) and one in the Trânsitos collection. Four books are expected to be released soon.
