Grémio Literário awards Leonor Sá
Apr 10, 2019 | News

Leonor Sá received an Honorable Mention from the ‘Prize of the Grémio Literário 2018’, for the book “Infâmia e fama: o mistério dos primeiros retratos judiciários em Portugal 1869 –1895,” [Fame and Infamy: the mystery of the first judicial portraits in Portugal 1869-1895] edited by Edições 70 in 2018.
In the now award-winning work, Leonor Sá takes a historical and unprecedented approach to the forensic portrait and its relation with criminal identification and investigation, from two photographic albums containing the oldest Portuguese judicial portraits that have survived to this day.
The award will be presented on 18 April, at 7PM, at the Grémio Literário, in Lisbon, together with the commemoration of the institution’s 173rd anniversary.
