Luís Farinha ceases his position at the Aljube Museum
Mar 27, 2020 | News

Our colleague Luís Farinha ceases his position as Director of the Aljube Museum — Resistance and Freedom at the end of this month.
As Director of this cultural space since its opening to the public in 2015, Luís Farinha has won wide recognition for the direction he imprinted. The Aljube Museum has been playing a unique role in preserving the memory of the dictatorship’s repressive apparatus and of all those who have suffered its effects.
The collaboration between the Museum and the IHC has been intense on several levels, from the joint organisation of colloquia, debates, research projects, or the collection of testimonies. For our part, we will do everything so that this dialogue can continue in the this new phase of the Museum’s life, an essential institution for the affirmation of an informed citizenship in the city of Lisbon (and others)
