Inês Ferreira de Almeida

Biography
MA in Contemporary History from the FCSH, with the thesis A Revolução dos Cravos e o Mito Revolucionário da Esquerda Francesa [The Carnation Revolution and the Revolutionary Myth of the French Left]. She is currently beginning a PhD thesis on female political prisoners and their families, entitled Corpos Femininos, Presos Políticos: A Violência Policial face às Mulheres na Resistência ao Regime Fascista [Female Bodies, Political Prisoners: Police Violence against Women in the Resistance to the Fascist Regime]. The main aim of this thesis is to collect and reflect on oral testimonies of the prison experience.
