Biography
He has a degree in History from UFG – Federal University of Goiás (2016), where he received a scholarship from the Undergraduate Scholarship Programme – PROLICEN and developed the research project “Rezas, Benzeduras Et Cetera: Vila Boa do XVIII e reminiscências contemporâneas” [Prayers, Blessings Et Cetera: Vila Boa in the 18th century and contemporary reminiscences], in the fields of Memory, Regional History, and Heritage Education. He has a master’s degree in Contemporary History from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of University of Porto (2020), where he wrote his dissertation “Memória e Transição Democrática em Portugal (1974-1976) e no Brasil (1985-1988)” [Memory and Democratic Transition in Portugal (1974-1976) and Brazil (1985-1988)].
He is currently a PhD candidate in History at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of University of Porto and a researcher at the Institute of Contemporary History — NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities. He is developing the project “Memória institucional das Forças Armadas Portuguesas sobre a Guerra Colonial e a descolonização (1974-2015)” [Institutional memory of the Portuguese Armed Forces on the Colonial War and decolonisation (1974-2015)] , which investigates the memory constructed by the Portuguese Armed Forces, as an institution integrated into the Portuguese State, regarding the Colonial War (1961-1974) and the decolonisation process (1974-1975).
