The IHC Board of Directors notes with regret the passing of Carlos Barroso, Secretary-General of the Mário Soares Foundation.

Since our Institute and FMS signed a collaboration protocol in 1996, Carlos Barroso has been an essential person in its operation. His professionalism and enthusiasm guaranteed the success of several joint initiatives, from the free courses in contemporary history to the editions that accompanied them.

To his family and the Foundation, we offer our most heartfelt condolences.
