Following a competitive internal tender, the Board of the Associated Laboratory IN2PAST announced funding for four exploratory projects, including one led by IHC researcher Paulo Catrica.
The four selected projects were: “Landscapes of Terror, Violence and Forensic Heritages in the Postcolonial Lusophone space“, coordinated by Ruy Llera Blanes (CRIA) and in which Xurxo Ayán, Pedro Aires Oliveira and Victor Barros, from the IHC, also participate; “Landscape, tourism and local development: The impacts of footbridges, viewpoints and swings in the Portuguese interior“, coordinated by António Azevedo (Lab2PT); “Filling a double void. A critical and mnemonic reading of the new town of Santo André 1971-2021“, coordinated by Paulo Catrica (HC); and “Artistic Revisitations: Memory and Contemporary Art (Memoriart). Study of Four Contemporary Art Collections“, coordinated by Vítor Manuel dos Santos Gomes and Jorge Croce Rivera (CHAIA) and in which Ana Cristina Martins (IHC) also participates.
The call aimed at providing “financial support for collective projects of an exploratory nature aimed at formulating research hypotheses leading to the preparation of future applications for international and national competitive funding” and each selected project included researchers from, at least, three research units of IN2PAST.
