Summary:
12-month, non-renewable postdoctoral research fellowship. To begin by November 2025. The work plan includes archival research, conducting interviews, collaboration in the organisation of a conference in Lisbon, and collaboration in the production of a collection of visual essays. The contracted researcher will collaborate with the PI in the development of the project, which aims to analyse a period of contemporary Portuguese history (specifically the 1960s and 1970s) through the lens of solidarity. The contracted researcher is asked to study sources and interview people (in Lisbon and within a radius of 200 km) in order to understand what meanings have been attributed to the word solidarity, what social practices have resulted from it, and what legacy these meanings and practices have left in contemporary society.
