IHC at FCSH Research and Innovation Day
Nov 6, 2025 | News

With the theme Research on Track, FCSH will celebrate its Research and Innovation Day on 11 November, and IHC will also be there: in addition to participating in parallel sessions, we will be represented in the exhibition Research in Pictures.
The activities will take place at Almada Negreiros College, mostly in the morning, when five parallel debate sessions will be held, organised around the strategic axes (‘tracks’) that guide the NOVA FCSH 2025–2030 plan. IHC doctoral candidates Henrique Oliveira and Sofia Victorino will participate in two of these sessions: Sustainable Territories and Environment and Arts and Humanities, respectively. The other three sessions are: Society and Policies, Memory and Heritage, and Media, Communication and Language. Methodologies, challenges and future prospects for research will be discussed.
On the same day, but in the afternoon, celebrations for the 47th anniversary of NOVA FCSH will take place at the Rectory of NOVA University Lisbon. The IHC will also be present there, with Luís Trindade participating in the Musical Conversation.
Together, these initiatives will, on the one hand, invite ‘reflection, debate and sharing on the research that defines NOVA FCSH’s identity and its commitment to open, critical and society-oriented science’ and, on the other hand, reinforce ‘the spirit of community and celebration around science, innovation, and shared knowledge’.
