An annual research workshop, on the history of the production of the modern world, promoted by the Institute of Contemporary History and the Università di Bologna.
The Production of the Modern World
This workshop takes place once a year, bringing together researchers from Lisbon and Bologna with the aim of contributing to debates on the history of the production of the modern world and to relate it to the critique of the present. The research developed within the framework of this joint international initiative takes into account the economic processes related to the history of capitalism, as well as the geographical, territorial, and bordering processes shaping it. Our initiative will thus foster dialogue between intellectual and scientific traditions as diverse as Economic History, Political Economy, Post-colonialism, Marxism and Historical Sociology.
