Biography
Eduardo Relvas is a PhD candidate at the University of Évora in the History and Philosophy of Science doctoral programme. He holds a graduate degree in Materials Engineering from the NOVA University Lisbon, which he completed with a final grade of 16/20. He also has extensive teaching experience, mostly in higher education, having lectured at the Portalegre Polytechnic Institute (IPP) for 15 years, in areas as diverse as Mechanics, Materials Science, Programming, ICT or Statistics.
He also presented communications as an invited speaker, was member of the coordinating team for a graduate course, mentored students in internships, organised seminars and workshops, and consulted with an artistic production that toured through several exhibitions. He holds a Certificate of Proficiency in English (with high level of performance in all components), and is also fluent in Spanish, French, and Italian. His main area of research concerns the history of the automobile.

- “Fiat automobilitas: Industry, resistances and technopolitics in post-World War II Europe” — PhD thesis supervised by Quintino Lopes (IHC — Universidade de Évora) and Maria Luísa Sousa (CIUHCT — NOVA FCT),supported by a research fellowship granted by the Institute of Contemporary History — University of Évora (UIDB/04209/2020).
