IHC opens call for Digital Dictionary “Connecting Portuguese History”
Nov 2, 2023 | News

The IHC has opened a call for contributions for its project CONNECTING PORTUGUESE HISTORY. Digital Dictionary of the Modern World, which will bring together articles from historians and social scientists from different national and foreign universities.
The call for articles states that the project “will exclusively seek contributions that engage in transnational, comparative, or global perspectives, or that stress the importance of the Portuguese colonial past for modern and contemporary history”. The aim of the Dictionary is “to become an important tool to promote the integration of Portuguese history in international historiographical debates”.
All texts will be peer-reviewed and published in both Portuguese and English. The call is open until 20 December 2023 and can be found here (PDF).
