NOVA FCSH is looking to hire an Assistant Researcher in Migrations and Globalization in Historical Perspective. The candidate to be hired should demonstrate competences in the areas of the History of Migration and the History of Globalization. This scientific profile implies the ability to build bridges between different levels of analysis, including those between the local and the global, the State and individuals, politics and territories, the economy and labor, or culture and leisure practices. The articulation between these levels must be able to go beyond traditional historical approaches based mainly on the role of institutions and state powers, thus contributing to recognizing the agency of migrants and transnational mobility processes in the global dimensions of contemporary history.
