W.Box.Project exhibition and presentation
‘Caps in the way? I’ll collect them all, one day I’ll build a greenhouse!’ (Tampas no caminho? Apanho todas, um dia construo uma estufa!) is the name of the public exhibition and presentation prepared by the team of W.Box.Project at the António Gião Primary School, in Reguengos de Monsaraz, Alentejo.
Approved by IN2PAST last year, this exploratory project, led by Sara Albuquerque, rethought the Wardian case with students aged 9 to 11 years old. Through a series of workshops, and with the involvement of different teachers and disciplines, the students made their own versions of this 19th-century portable greenhouse.
Come and learn more about W.Box.Project, which draws attention to the Wardian case, a scientific heritage that has remained invisible in Portugal, while involving local communities through knowledge transfer actions that motivate students with learning disabilities.
