Biography

Rebeca Ávila is an integrated researcher at the Institute of Contemporary History at NOVA FCSH. Graduated in Journalism and Communication (Minor in Artistic Studies) by the University of Coimbra and student in the Masters in Latin American Social Studies at the Universidad de Buenos Aires, she is currently a PhD student in History at NOVA FCSH, investigating race and political violence in foreign politics from Brazil and Cuba to Africa during the Cold War (1961-1988).
