Teresa Joaquim is the new Researcher Ombudsman at IHC

Anthropologist Teresa Joaquim was appointed Researcher Ombudsman at the Extraordinary General Assembly of the IHC held on 28 June, a position she will hold for two years.
Teresa Joaquim is an assistant professor at Universidade Aberta, in the Department of Social Sciences and Management, coordinating, at the same university, the Master on Women Studies – Gender, Citizenship, and Development. Among the various positions she has held over the last two decades, her experience as a member of the Council for Ethics in Life Sciences (1996-2002) stands out.
In accordance with the IHC Statutes, Teresa Joaquim will be responsible for “arbitrating on any conflict that has not been resolved in the established framework by the Board of Directors, General Meeting, Supervisory Board or Scientific Council of the IHC”, issuing non-binding assessments.
