Paulo Catrica opens exhibition in Porto

The photographic exhibition “PPP Porosità, Poética e Política” (PPP Porosità, Poetics and Politics) by Paulo Catrica opened on 21 March at the Exhibition Hall of the School of Arts of the Portuguese Catholic University (UCP) in Porto, curated by Carlos Lobo.
In the exhibition, the IHC researcher “has the pretension that the everyday use, banality and monumentality of landscape, architecture and public space can be revealed through photographs”. Part of the UCP’s programme Não foi Cabral: revisiting silences and omissions, the exhibition is based on “the artist’s interest in images of everyday life, landscape, architecture, and banality. The exhibition aims to think about the Sicilian landscape as a memory and fragment of a changing world, dominated by ruin”.
It can be seen between 2pm and 7pm, with free admission, until 18 April.
