The IHC is one of the partner institutions in the exhibition “De Famalicão para o Mundo: o 25 de Abril de 1974 – Significado de uma data histórica em Vila Nova de Famalicão” [From Famalicão to the World: 25 April 1974 – The Meaning of a Historic Date in Vila Nova de Famalicão], which recently opened in the Minho municipality.
Organised through the “From Famalicão to the World” educational and cultural project, the exhibition is part of the activity plan for the Municipal Commemorations of the 50th Anniversary of 25 April and consists of eight panels that include “press cuttings, photographs, various written and iconographic documents and videos, linking local and national history”.
In addition to the IHC, the CITCEM – University of Porto, the University of Minho, the History Teachers Association, the Colonial War Museum, the Ave Basin Textile Industry Museum and the famalicense Artur Sá da Costa collaborated in this initiative. The exhibition is on show at the Camilo Castelo Branco Municipal Library and can be visited until 27 May.
