Experiments in Ethnographic Comparison

‘We don’t really have a very good sense of what it means to live in conditions of emptiness, what it means to make life go on when the world around you is emptying’, says Dace Dzenovska, social cultural anthropologist, Associate Professor of Anthropology of Migration at the University of Oxford and principal investigator of project Emptiness, which studies towns and villages in Eastern Europe and Russia. Winner of an ERC Consolidator Grant, Dace Dzenovska is the guest speaker at the 4th National Meeting of IN2PAST Researchers, which takes place on the 1st and 2nd of February, at NOVA FCSH, in Lisbon.
