Victor Pereira is the new Director of the Contemporary History Press

The Imprensa de História Contemporânea [Contemporary History Press] has been renewed, with the appointment of Victor Pereira as Director and the creation of an Executive Committee composed of the Director, Pedro Martins, and Vasco Marques.
With a vast scientific career, Victor Pereira joined the IHC in August 2021 as Principal Researcher, coming from the Université of Pau et des Pays de l’Adour, where he directed the History Department (2013-2016) and the Presses de Pau et des Pays de l’Adour . He is also on the editorial board of the scientific journals Lusotopie, Histoire@politique, Análise Social, and Exils et migrations ibériques au XXème siècle.
The academic press created by the IHC in 2017, has been specialized in the dissemination of research works in the fields of History and Social Sciences, having already published seven original books authored by national researchers, in the Contemporânea collection, and two translations by foreign researchers, in the collection Trânsitos.
The Press Editorial Board is composed of Álvaro Garrido (CEIS20 – FLUC), Elisa Lopes da Silva (CRIA – Iscte-IUL), Luís Trindade (CEIS20 – FLUC), Maria João Vaz (CIES, Iscte – IUL), Maria Alexandre Lousada (CH – FLUL), Nuno Medeiros (CEComp – FLUL), and Paulo Jorge Fernandes (IHC – NOVA FCSH).
