Sandra Abelha

Biography

She graduated in History and Archaeology, with a specialisation in Cultural Heritage and Art History, in 2013, from the University of Évora. In the same year and institution, under the supervision of Professor Fátima Nunes, she began a research fellowship at the Centre for Studies in History and Philosophy of Science, in the field of Science and Heritage (October 2013 – November 2014), also collaborating with the Museum With No Frontiers under the subject “Sharing History: 1815 – 2015 Arab World/Europe – A Museum With No Frontiers” (2013 – 2015).

In 2015, she concluded her Master’s degree in Management and Appreciation of Historical and Cultural Heritage, with a specialisation in Artistic Heritage and Art History, at the University of Évora, under the supervision of the Professors Fátima Nunes and Ana Cardoso de Matos and, in order to obtain the Master’s degree, she also underwent a curricular internship at the Arquivo Fotográfico da Câmara Municipal de Évora, from which she produced her end of course Report, with the title “Baú da memória: coleção Pereira & Próstes (1886-1888) e coleção Lopes Fragoso (1868-1930) do Arquivo Fotográfico da Câmara Municipal de Évora (1839-1930)”.
