Marisa da Silva Martins has a BA in Portuguese and English Studies (2015) and a MA in Anglo-American Studies (2017), both at NOVA University Lisbon. Her dissertation was on British Children’s Literature and Post-Colonial Studies, which are her main areas of interest. She is currently enrolled in the same field of studies as a PhD student at the same institution. Moreover, she is working at Instituto de História Contemporânea as a researcher. For her doctorate, she is still investigating British Children’s Literature produced from the nineteenth to the twenty-first centuries. She has presented papers on Children’s Literature, Postcolonial Studies and Food Studies. She is also interested in Mythology, Ancient History, Young Adult Literature, Folk and Fairy Tales.
