Feb 12, 2019 | News
Cristina Rodrigues and José Maria Brandão de Brito received an Honourable Mention in the 2018 edition of the António Dornelas Award, for their book “A UGT na história do movimento sindical português. 1990 ‐ 2010”.
The book was published in 2017 by Edições Afrontamento and is the second volume dedicated to the history of UGT, from 1990 to 2010. It begins by analysing the national and European framework of these two decades and it follows with a reflection on the future of labour and the challenges to unionism.
The António Dornelas Award is granted by the Ministry of Labor, Solidarity and Social Security and recognises “scientific or technical work, which has been developed by students, researchers and university professors, covering the areas of labour, employment, vocational training and industrial relations “, states the official website.
